I have a background in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and behaviour management. I am also strongly influenced by Gestalt therapy which relies on developing a trusting relationship between therapist and client, and immediate felt experience.
I incorporate other therapeutic approaches such as relaxation and mindfulness, based on the client’s needs, and my insight about what may be most helpful.
When working with couples I use attachment theory and interpersonal process to improve communication and loving relating.
